I have a good friend, she is my classmate and roommate in college. We met 11 years since I stepped into the university.

When we graduated from school, she stayed in hometown, and I went to Shenzhen, but we still keep in touch, and every Chinese New Year we met each other , and we had a lot of topics to talk about, I was very looking forward to seeing her.

Last year she came to Shenzhen on business, she liked here and decided to stay here to commence her new career and life. I was very excited about this, I was not alone any longer.

But every time we met on the weekend , she talked about the person she met in blind dates Finally she found one , she thought he was a desirable lover. He bought an Ipad for her at first date. He has good job as a sourcing director in Valeo and has a accommodation in Nanshan. But he was six years older than her and he told her he never married. He wanted live together after met three month and get married after six months. As her good friends, we thought this guy cannot be believed, we suggest her to slow down the progress for this relationship. But she cannot take our advice, I knew she wanted to look for a rich man relatively. I can understand her.

As my prediction, this man is a liar, he never bring her back to his house during their six months’ dating and he had many excuses to refuse dating with her during weekend. And he broke up with her over Wechat suddenly. The reason is very ridiculous. She was very sad, I comfort her and accompany her.

After about two weeks, she began to look for another guy on the internet dating sites. She was very desired to look for a good guy and get married. Of course this man must be rich and have a house inside customs at least in Shenzhen.

Everyone has their pursuit, we cannot change their mind and just insist what we should insist.

But I feel I have a sense of distance with her now, we have different values. I don’t want to see  her at weekend, but when she asks me out or wants come to see me, it was hard to say no for me, because only we two in Shenzhen, we should take care of each other in this unfamiliar city.

So I am very perplexed now, what should I do? Follow my heart to reduce going out with her or maintain the present status?
