Today, I talked with my good friend about what would happen if we originally didn't come to this city and this university.
Perhaps, the big and developed city like Beijing can broaden our views, provide better public facilities. Also, we have more oppotunities to practice and to make money. There are many chances to contact new things. And we have opportunities to see and take part in some big famous exhibitions like the Olympic Games. We maybe would get more than the other relative underdeveloped city. But if we didn't come to this city and this university, I would not meet her and she would not meet me. Of couse, we could not be good friends. I woudn't meet my teachers, my roommates, my classmates and other people who I couldn't meet in other place.
In the relative underdeveloped city, we have less pressure of competition so that we can feel the city better, including its culture, its costume, its history and its charm. It gives us different feelings because it is unique. And we see something that we can't see in other cities. There are many unusual things what belong to these cities. In these cities, you may have a profound comprehension for the problems in which the cities exist and people in other cities can not understand it.
Different cities have different profits. We will experience different things. As a result, it is not necessary to envy others because what you have is worth to envy. What we need to do is just to walk our own road better.
