Should private cars be encouraged? Different people may have various opinions on this topic. Some people may think it a good way to increase economic growth. While in my point of view, it is better not encourage the use of private cars.

First of all, as far as I am concerned, environment in China is getting worse and worse due to the heavy air pollution. It is because the emission of a good number of private cars deteriorates the environment. So the people who always drive private cars instead of taking public bus or subway should partly be responsible for it. Fewer people purchase or drive private cars will do good to our environment. Besides, a large quantity of private cars on the road easily cause the traffic jam that wastes a lot of precious time. Nobody wants to wait for a long time in their private cars rather than get to the destination. Finally, if private cars are not encouraged to buy or drive, people may choose to walk or go cycling. It gives a variety of ways to do exercise.
