Can you list ten books that have the greatest influence on you? Someone launched an activity on weibo.com, asking people to enumerating these ten books and @ three friends to relay. Many users said that all that they could think of is “Five Years College Entrance Examination and Three Years Simulation”,one of the most commonly used exercise book for college entrance examinations. However,I think this seemingly funny saying reveals our lace of reading.

I used to love reading very much. When I was in middle school, I spent almost all of my pin money on various of books instead of confections and beautiful clothes. I seized every minute to read, and I enjoyed it. But things are different in university. I began to prefer the activities with other people and the apps in the cellphone which are more interesting and relaxing. I gave up on reading, and even if I read, I choose the books related to my major, because they can bring me direct benefits. I found myself couldn’t sit down to read an attractive book serenely. 

Bacon said in his Of Studies that Histories make man wise; poets witty; the mathematics subtile; natural philosophy deep; moral grave; logic and rhetoric able to contend.What he wanted us to understand is that reading can influence our characters very greatly. I think it’s time that I calm down and squeeze some time for reading, not for higher grades in the exams, but for a delightful life.
