I write this letter to express my heartfelt gratitude to you. I want you to know how important you are to me and how deeply you have influenced me.

First of all, you let me understand what a diplomat is indeed. Around two years ago, finishing the MUN conference, you told me what I had done during the meeting was wrong. At first, I was so angry that I can’t help yelling at you because I believed it was none of your business. But you kept calm and peered at me, telling me that my performance was not qualified as a diplomat. I got to understand you gradually. Actually, you were right that diplomats stood up for their country so they could not draw a conclusion abruptly, not considering the interest of their motherland. I must appreciate you for this helpful advice which leads me to walk directly to the destination. Had you not offered me the wise suggestion, I wouldn’t have got any comprehensive understanding of this special occupation as a diplomat.

Besides, you always accompany me when I am down. Once I had a quarrel with my classmate, you not only comforted me, but also asked me whether it was necessary to deal with a problem by arguing. According to you, one should be kind and generous, after all, we all might make mistakes and there was no need to condemn others for something trivial. From then on, I learned to get along well with others and try to be more modest and careful when socializing with friends.

Without your help, I would not achieve what I have now. You are a wonderful teacher and friend. Thank you very much!
