Why People Love Dogs?

Hot 4572 views. 2014-10-22 22:38 |Individual Classification:random thoughts

Have you ever seen the movie Hachiko: A Dog’s Story? The little dog Hachi waits for its master at the station every day. One afternoon, the master dies, so Hachi doesn’t meet him as usual. Its master will never show up again, nonetheless, Hachi still waits for him day after day, until it dies ultimately. It’s such a moving story that many people are touched by the adorable dog. Apart from this story, there are many other people who regard dogs as their friends and treat them more than companions. Well, why human beings have such special affection on dogs? Obviously, dogs’ loyalty, various functions and friendliness make human beings love them.

To start with, dogs have always been depicted as loyal since the very ancient time. As many people know, dogs’ origins are wolves, which inevitably results the dogs to be fierce. However, dogs obey their masters rigorously after training. The absolute loyalty makes them protect and never betray their masters. Usually, dogs will bark violently towards strangers or even sometimes bite them when sniff the dangerous signals. But in most circumstances, they are quite submissive. Being submissive doesn’t mean they are craven. Conversely, they can be as brave as warriors to prevent their masters from being hurt.

In addition to loyalty, dogs have many functions which can help human beings deal with our lives better. Dogs are skilled in shepherding, hunting for particular animals, helping the blind, taking care of children, guarding homes and so on. Based on their different contributions, dogs are divided into 6 groups, which include the Hound Group, the Gundog Group, the Terrier Group, the Utility Group, the Working Group and the Toy Group. We can easily guess their respective use according to the names. The hound dog can hunt by itself, while the gundog aims at helping people hunt. The terrier dog and the utility dog now are widely used to be companions of families. The working dog helps people in many aspects such as searching for criminals. As for toy dogs, they are just like toys, adorable and beautiful.

At last, dogs are really friendly. They are easygoing and will never attack you unless you enrage them or make them scared. In most time, dogs sway their tails, which demonstrates that they are happy, and they want to play with you. Many families let their dogs keep the children company, because dogs are friendly enough to people. Some old people feel lonely, and they will often have dogs be their companions. Maybe the first time you see a dog, you will hesitate whether to stroke it or not because you are afraid of being hurt; however, actually, the dog is long for being your friend.

In a word, dogs deserve to be loved for their loyalty, various functions and being friendly. To be honest, I can’t imagine what the world would be if there’s no dog. As for we human beings, we have many other things besides dogs, but to dogs, what they only have are us. They contribute their whole life to us and don’t demand much reward. So, what we can do is to treat them with our whole heart and give them more care. Dogs deserve our love.

I remembered that my grandmother's feeded a dog sevral years ago. The duty of the dog was to look after house for my grandmother's. He was so devoted to his duty. No theft happened during his working life. Of course, he brought a lot of happiness to the whole family. What I want to say is that dog isn't an animal any more but the loyalest friend of us. As you said his loyalty, various functions and friendliness make human beings love it. How can we find another friend like him? It's so lucky that we can make friends with him.

I love that movie very much, and to be honest, dog is cleverer than other pets though I choose cat as my pet. During my sophomore year, I organized an activity to let doggy person have the chance to care the homeless dog in Nanjing Pingan Afu Homeless Dog base. These dogs were discarded by people for different reasons, so they become a little bit sensitive when we wanted to approach them. After that activity, the heplessness in their eyes depressed me and persuaded me to call for more care for our friend——dog!

That's really a detailed explication on dog. I watched the movie, and have been touched. There are many people keep dogs indeed, but for me, it's hard to close to them now, because there are few chance for us to contact with them, and seemly I have been insulated from any animals.

Oh, that comparison is kind of ironic. I believe that in the future the situation will change.
