Recently I am reading the book《History of a Chinese Muslim Family》,it is about two tragedy stories of love,between the two generations.

        The one is about a jade family,the prentice marry with the master’s daughter after the master died.When the war came,he run away with the master another daughter Yuer and left his wife and son at home in China.Unfortunately,when he arrive in London,the war also happened in London,at last he get together with Yuer and have a daughter.After ten years, when the war end in China,they went back home,but face the challenge of choosing a wife,because in Muslim doctrine the man cannot marry with two women when they are sisters.So at last Yuer leave and give her daughter to Hanziqi.

     The other story is about Xinyue,she is Yuer’s daughter,she fall in love with her teacher,and again,she meets obstructions.Her stepmother use the Muslim doctrine to keep her away from the nonmuslim——her teacher,and at that period people cannot endure a teacher to marry with his student,also the most important is Xinyue has a serious heart disease.At last,Xinyue’s love story end with her death.

      To tell the truth,I don’t like this book very much,it is not because it is a tragedy story,but the plot of describing love is so rough.The lover in this book is like they are push together because of needed of plot,not real love.Yuer’s love with Hanziqi are urge by the the fear of war,and Xinyue’s love with her teacher outbreak when he knows she has the heart disease.But the writer done a really great job in describing the complex plot about Muslim,war and family ethic tradition.

       Overthere I just talk aout my feeling of the plot,and if there is anyone who likes this novel very much,I will be thankful that maybe you can share with me.
