I am promoted at the begining of this year, I think I deserve it due to the hard work and background, However, after the message is released, following by some envies and inquiry about the raising salary. I think this is a sensitive issue, I really do not want to speak more about it. I am an adult enough and I should know how to handle these issue.
Anyway, the promotion is a confirmation for my hard work and ability.

- Congratulations! I think you could totally ignore envies from others. You have no control on how others feel about your promotion, so leave them alone.
I think its very impolite to ask about one's salary, but in China it seems natural for most people to do so. My opinion is to give just a general answer like 'not much', of course in a polite way. A clever person will not ask for more detail.
