My short tour to Renmin University of China

In the past weekend, I went to Beijing for the 10th Renmin University of China Model United Nations (RUCMUN). Honestly, as a leader of five partners, they four brought me a lots of surprise. I have been benefited so much from this wonderful academic tour.

I usually is bothered with my bad habit of pulling things up. From the beginning prepared works, I can’t find suitable hotel due to I checked it too late. However, they didn’t just blame me, instead of working out together . This is two and a half days-meeting, we should read plenty of materials about our topic, and prepared for giving speeches, finding bloc of countries which have similar position or benefits, social event, etc. Model United Nations Conference always is a competitive platform for everybody presenting his talents, which also needs you get knowledge of many capabilities. In these aspects, I think they do better than me. I am afraid of presenting from when I was little, maybe got some terrible experience. The most helpful reap for me is that I witnessed the gap between greater people and me, and I know why I am I and how to get improved.

My this joint committee’s language , Human Rights commission, is Chinese, which is the only Chinese language conference. Our topic is condition of human rights of North Korea. North Korea is a pretty closed country, whose common people aren’t accessible to outward information.  On the one hand,  people of North Korea don’t know other people’s life conditions in the world, whose eyes are covered so that they cannot recognize themselves correctly and fight against together. On the other hand, we usually might think of a thing or get to do something with our prejudice, which attitude also might cause things fail and communication is difficult to improve. In the end, North Korea and developed countries represented by America didn’t get agreement as finding approach to solve low-level human rights condition in North Korean have had, although the third party countries did much efforts. so I think we could do better next time. 

All in all, I like touching new things and self -questioning that always make me reactive and get improved. This MUN tour isn’t perfect at all actually because of my poor presence in the meeting, but i also like it, Needless to say that I came over my cute grandfather and charming aunt Bonnie.
