I was born in  the small city, Shantou. I speak chaoshanhua. A old language silimar to Mingnan Yu. Shantou is not as beauty as Xiamen I suppose , even I never go to Xiamen. But I saw the scenics from the tv programme about Xiamen. But, what I would like to say is that Shantou is really famous for its food and snack. I think Chaozhou cai is popular in a lot of places. Seafood is enevital part of the chaozhou cuizine. If you go for shantou, except for seafood, beef hotpot and beef pill are the main thing that you can not miss. If you have time , Nan'ao island is the place that you can have a visit. It is a seashore island. There are two ways to there, by car or by ferry. You can go for swimming.  Ride a bicycle etc. There is a well called "Song Jing" Which is nearby the seashore, but the water took from the well is pour water without bitter. Believe it or not, why not choose some time to have a check？
