I often go to listen to the BBC radio so I am familiared with the British accent. Before I watched some British TV series like Doctor who, Babylon Hotel, The white queen, 95 Pride and Prejudice and so on. But recently a British TV show makes me some troubles. "London girls" , Oh my goodness, some girls speak so quickly and sound so difficult to understand what they are talking. Sometimes they swallowed up some words. Now I completely agree learning a language is a tough job.

- I am particularly comfortable with British English because that is my own language. Somehow, I can't stand the American English. The TV dramas I see recently are Downton Abbey and Castle, but they show it after midnight.
Learning any language needs time and patience. After some time you would get used to it and can readily understand what they are saying. It would take about 2 years of practice. A child needs about 2 years to learn how to talk so that is how long it will take.
