Package tour is also known as package holiday which means the tour or holiday will be organized by tour operator at fixed price and that usually include flight, transfers and accommodation. The first package tour operator is Thomas cook. Dated back to 19th century ,Thomas cook organized the first package tour with chartered train .Thomas cook became one of the most largest and most knows tour agent at that time. After world war two, with the gradual decline of visits in British seaside resorts, they began promoting foreign holidays, especially in Italy, Spain and Switzerland.  But, not catering for new form of cheap holiday, Thomas cook made a costly decision so that the company goes to further decline and finally rescued by consortium.  

    By late 1950s and 1960s the new form of package tour -cheap holiday- provided for most of people in Britain the first chance of affordable travel abroad. With time going by, the new form went to decline due to rise of budget airlines like TUI .in 2009, the trend of package holiday bookings saw a comeback because customers want more financial security in the wake of a number of flight companies going bust. 

     When it comes to travelling , some people prefer will choose independent travel while other prefer to go on package tour .it’s very convenient  to take a package tour because travel , meals and accommodation  are all inclusive of this package. But if you want a adventure don't go on package tour. Nowadays, more and more people have own cars, tourisms E-commerce growing quickly. DIY tour such as self driving is more and more popular in people with cars .they could enjoy more pleasure and freedom that automobile bring about .but that happened firstly in homeland. For people traveling abroad most people will choose package tour since most of vacationers lack of foreign language and less knowledge of different culture.
