No matter poor or rich, but three generations?

Hot 41142 views. 2015-11-1 13:33 | matter

Saying goes: No matter poor or rich, but three generations. (Which means: The wealth of a family cann't last forever, if the descendants won't make their efforts; The poverty of a family cann't last forever, if the descendants keep fighting for better lives.)

What do you guys think about that, especially nowadays?

the writer means no matter what your ancestor create the good living condition for the offspring, it won`t be possible the offspring can maintain the proverty and pass on beyond three generation. And also the poor family won`t be poor forever.

Oh I see...
It should be written as ''Rich or Poor won't pass 3 generations''

Actually it is true that wealth can't be pass three generations. It seems there would always be someone in the later generation who would squander all the wealth. There are many cases like this.

Poverty would also not last more than three generations because poverty is so demeaning and hurtful that later generations would make great efforts to escape from poverty.

People should try to preserve the hard earned money of our previous generation and try to avoid endless poverty. Everything requires effort and nothing comes easy.

Sorry about that. I translated it from a Chinese saying with my Chinese logic. It really doesn't make any sense, so I added an explanation behind it.

Every person has his own life . We can't make sure if our offsprings can keep everything going well. Sometimes I see an old quiet quitted house ,I will ask myself some questions .  What happened in the old house ?Who once  lived there ? Did the people living in the house lead a happy or sad life ? What mattered to them ? And what will my house be like in the future ? Who knows ? Being alive is just one of the processes of life.
