Maternity matron is kind of profession who is fully in charge the new mother and the new baby after delivery the baby; they have to know how to take care the small baby, hygiene of tableware, train for good habit of sleeping for baby, provide a nutritious food for the mother and the baby, but this and that we are still unbelievable it is a higher income work than some white collars.
In Chinese, this is literally called ”sitting in month”, as new mothers are pretty much expected to just sit around in pajamas for a month to recover from childbirth, no having the bath, to rest indoors for one full month after giving birth. Right now, as the living standards has been improved, the people likes to invite the professional Maternity matron comes to the home for helping the new mother and baby during the hard first month, learn from her how to take care the small baby and how to breast-feed, sounds like it is nature to be a real woman doing it, but nowadays the new mothers are more spoiled and contribute for the family, therefore any requirements from them would not be the problem, that’s why the salary of those matrons are getting higher, due to the market needs.
I don’t know so much information about how to train them properly, and where, except the privacy woman hospitals, but surely it is no enough for the requirements after the policy of second child issued in China, I am sure it will need the great amount of talent maternity matrons in future market, if I am free, maybe I would like to be the one, why not?

- We also have that profession here in my city. We call them 'Maternity companion''. There is a lot of talk about their high salaries. I think the high pay is justified because it is not really a long term job. They don't need formal qualifications and their ability comes from experience. Caring for a new mother is not a simple task as she will go through a lot of change and quite a few have post maternal depression.
Well, every job has it's own benefits. Worth a try.

- In my life I know one, and she just retired from a hospital, and now she earns pretty good. I have ever asked her does all of them like you? I mean they are well done. She said she don't know, as she know, at present, there has no institution to train them.
There will be more Maternity matron in future, but how to regulate them is a real question. Anyway, it is a good thing for new mothers.

- That kind of a job now is becoming very hot. Since the new mothers who are just having babies are not so experienced to take care of their kids. Meanwhile, they are feeble after giving birth. If they have no parents to take care of them, then a maternity matron is required. Thus it is reasonable to ask high salary for its reason. Fortunately, it does not last long otherwise most couples probably feel it burden to afford, even those middle class will have some pressures. That is the because the living cost in cities is high, not mention to raise a baby.

- well, when I was hunting for a job in the market, I was amazed to find that the salaries of maternity matrons are higher than those for acconting. and the chances are higher. usually, they just work a few hours to take care of the baby and mother. then, they have spare time to do other things.most maternity matrons are not professionly trained and they just provide servece on the base of expriences. in this field, the threshold is low, thus any aged women can handle this job if they have free time. so the highly professional maternity matron is demanding. if there is a training company for maternity matrons , It wil be good. In any event , this market is large.
