New Year to be busy

Chinese New Year, every family began to prepare, how happy! When I was a little girl think of New Year, wearing the new clothes, eating rich food, playing fire cracks and fireworks, how enjoy the happy new year.

This Chinese New year seems so special as before, maybe due to the epidemic corona virus, which is making people so frustration at the last whole year, the coming festival will release the unhappy things, that’s why the people really need to celebrate.

Everybody know that I am poor on cooking, but I would like to show my love for my family. How to make new year eve dinner such as meat ball, rick cake, smoked fish and pork jelly, which are all tradition Chinese foods. Some of them I even have never heard of it. So I checked it out from Tik Tok, what I want to learn you can follow the video step by step, very easy.

All raw materials I purchased from Ding Dong app, Green turnip, steam bread, sticky rice, red bean paste, pork tenderloin and skin of pork, etc. at the first day, I am going to do two kinds of dishes, one is rick cake and pork jelly. As long as any dishes are not skilful on stir fry, I would like to try, these two sounds like not too difficult I thought. I followed the recipe carefully, taking out the kernel of red date first, flatten red bean paste on the rice and then steam for it 20 minutes , after cooling down, portion with plastic wrap.

In the afternoon, I was starting for pork jelly. It was not my first time to try, at the last year; I did not do very well, I did not know why it was so soft and not very clear, maybe too much water. This time I am still no confident at all, I cleaned for each of skins very careful, putting much leeks and gingers for first boiling in order to release the smell. Cutting portion is hard work with my poor knife, every important step was washing it with salt and soda in many times till like a stick before steaming it the second time. The last process is cooling with container naturally, remember the last year I put it into frozen fridge.
