Trinity Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Cairns which is only 9km from where I stayed - Palm Cove in far northern Queensland.

Australian winter (July, August) is probably the best season for a visit, nice and warm, summer clothes is enough for you to wear though I took a few long pants and a pair of boots which have never been used.

I'm suggesting to bring your umbrella with you, because for the time I was there; it was raining for half of the day, and sunny for the other half.

Compared to Palm Cove beach, Trinity Beach is more peaceful and quiet with tropical trees surrounded.

People were really friendly, whenever I walked along the beach, I could hear: “Good morning.” “Have a nice day!” “How are you today?”

When I climbed a small hill, 4 tourists with smiling face and said hello to me one by one: “Hello,Hello,Hello.”

Some families were having BBQ or playing games, young girls and boys were lying on the beach having sunbathes. The elders were sitting on chairs reading books, it is a paradise for dog

That was the first time I saw a few months’ old babies who were lying under the trees accompanied by their mums or Dads.

Kids were playing sports and building a sandcastle, there were people swimming far away.

While walking around, I met a guy who was sitting in his caravan, facing the beautiful sea and reading a book.

The man is not an ordinary type like us who works 8 hours a day.

Years ago, he sold his house, bought a caravan and started travelling around Australia. Actually,he has been travelling in his caravan since 1982.

He said he would like to stay in Queensland for winter, and move towards south when summer’s coming. I just realized his lifestyle is similar to an immigrant bird.

He said: “I couldn’t stay in one place; I was always falling in love.” “What? Do you fall in love with the beautiful view or people?” I was curious. “With girls, sometimes with 2” ,“Wow,you are so romantic!!!”

He went on: “Life is short; I just enjoy life as much as I can.” Since my ex-wife left me many years ago, I started journey on my own and I said thank you to my ex-wife for her leaving.”

Well, no matter what kind of life you are having, you could be a successful professional or a businessman who works under huge pressure with big money.

Or just like the man I mentioned who is having a relaxing lifestyle, enjoying the nature as much as he can with no property or money.

As long as it makes you happy, that’s it.

One of the reasons for travelling is meeting interesting people and listening to their unique stories. That’s fun.

Well, I visited Trinity beach again the last day before departure, especially for taking photos with my high heels on.

I felt really awkward as everyone walked with bare feet or having a pair of thongs on.

An old lady passed by and laughed: “Wow, beautiful heels!!” “Thank you, oh, no, please don't look at my shoes; I am only here for photos.” I felt a bit odd. Quickly, I changed back to thongs after finished photographing.
