In China, if a girl has never lived overseas (not including travelling short term), or who has never had a western boyfriend before.

 It is likely for the girl to judge a western man from a romantic American movie: A handsome man lives in a luxury house or an apartment;driving a convertible car along the seaside.

On her birthday, the guy will give her a big surprise by bringing her to one best restaurant with flowers, candles, romantic music surrounded, and also she will receive a precious gift: eg, a bottle of Chanel NO.5 perfume or a Gucci wallet.

However, in real life, most western guys are not that rich type.

A lot of them, especially young generation, they used up all the money by the end of the day, even someone can’t afford to buy food or petrol if they have problems with budgets (this is just extreme examples).

But I do know someone will be so frustrated if the wages don’t come through to their account on time, their bank account balance could be 0.

So if a girl expects a western guy buy a luxury gift; that is just a perfect dream, it is quite impossible.

If he buys you a bunch of roses would be so romantic.

Well, you might be lucky enough meet a truly rich man, who doesn’t care money at all, however, he might be a control freak: “That’s nothing for an LV bag, but you’d better listen to me; do whatever I like you to do.”

Would you like losing freedom in order to get an LV bag? No, I don’t think that would be you.

And some rich type men might are workaholics, they are only interested in having investments for more money.

What? Luxury things?  OMG, please don’t tell me, ok, I have never bought one for myself.

In China, a boyfriend could do anything for a girlfriend,eg, paying for the restaurants, movies, shopping stuff, gifts for the girl and even her parents.

The most expensive part is an apartment, if you don’t have one, why not ask your parents pay for it or let’s just say good-bye.

I am not gonna pay for mortgage with you the whole life, how miserable!!!

However, in Australia, it is spilt the bill when dining out.

No, I don’t know when we can get married, maybe we never marry the whole life, just be together, it is normal in western countries, it's your choice.

We share rent, we share bills, we share food, we share everything, it’s not fair to pay for all, girls.

One day, when a western guy travel or have a business  trip to China, a middle-aged Aussie man( I have more readers belong to that age, so I don’t talk about guys in their 20s)who has experienced a lot of relationships in Australia, they could be just break up with their partners or get divorced.

Therefore, on their mind, they are pretty sick of western ladies from their previous experience.

However, they are still having high expectation for a romantic story happen and this is quite natural for a human being.

When they are visiting Asian countries, eg China, men are very easily attracted by the appearance of Asian ladies.

Wow, they look so small, skinny, how adorable!!!

Yes, yes, I reckon I love Asian ladies, you see, they are soo cute with smiling face whenever they are talking with me.

Even the younger ones are so warm; I’ve never got such good feeling in my own country.

Lovely!!!

For Asian women who have never experienced life with western guys, they might regard them as the whole western world with a stereotype.

Rich, romantic, funny, polite, handsome, all the nice thoughts they have been inspired from the movies.

It is such a wonderful world- the western countries.

Very soon, a nice western guy falls in love with a pretty Asian woman, they can’t live without each other, so fresh, so passionate.

It’s amazing which is like a fairy tale. We found our true love, how lucky we are.

They leave the reality and culture behind.
