Hot 2
Life is simple if we know what really really really want to do; many of us are too busy to think about it.
They admire a colleague who drives a BMW; a friend who goes on holidays in Europe staying in a 5-star hotel; a classmate who works in Fortune 500 with fancy title earns big money, they might be jealous someone who has lots of investment properties living in a mansion.
It’s very easy to lose ourselves if we don’t know what really matters to us.
To be honest, I am a bit frustrated recently, job, chores, writing and reading. I don’t know how to handle it; my time is limited.
Therefore, I must to clear my mind and write down what I really really really want from heart.
Health
Health is always on the priority list, without a healthy body, we can achieve nothing.
At the moment, I am having dance class (Buchata) once a week, and attending dance party twice a month.
Dancing makes me happy, feel energetic and young, it brings the time back to the Uni, communicating with lots of friendly people from all over the world.
I usually spend 1 hour dancing (including salsa) with the music at home to keep good body shape.
I have just heard the good news that gym has re-started in my building, I will consider doing a few days gym instead of dancing.
Usually, I attend 6-month dance classes and 6-month swimming classes once a year.
Apart from that, I would love to go for a walk, running and jogging when it is a nice warm day.
Each activity cost less than $80 (400CNY) a month, it’s affordable. Most important thing, it helps me stay healthy, keep fit and be a happier person.
At the moment, my right hand has a bit problem because of overuse mouse, so I will stop texting unless it’s essential.
A job
My ideal working hour is 3 to 4 days a week so that I have time do reading and writing.
However, in this tough job market, we don’t have much freedom and time to choose and wait for what we like.
If there’s a full-time, temporary, casual position, I might have to accept it as well.
Full-time job earns more money, but it won’t make me happier because I have very limited time to do what I am passionate about- writing.
On the other hand, even if have enough money for a few years living, I still need to go to work because it keeps me update to the current job market.
In this competitive market, if I leave resume blank for two years that would be difficult to re-enter into the workforce, that’s the impression I’ve got from job hunting.
Therefore, I need a job so that I have the ability to survive in Australia and being independent.
Then I can afford to pay bills, go on holidays and buy fashionable clothes, good quality shoes, and bags.
Housework
I will spend a couple of hours a day cleaning apartment; it makes me feel comfortable to stay in a place bright and shining.
Cooking
Stay healthy, most time, I would like to cook at home, so that I eat veggies every day, though I go to the restaurant every Friday night.
In Australia, a dish of vegetables is expensive, around AUD25/dish (130CNY), and most western restaurants don’t have many choices for veggies.
Meeting friends
Catching up with a friend on a Friday night or a weekend, it’s so good to talk with an old friend face-to-face.
Sometimes we have dinner together in a restaurant sharing stories, recalling old memories and telling plans.
In Australia, we split the bill; it won’t cost much for a meal, AUD25 (130CNY)-AUD50 should be enough.
Or sometimes, we go for a walk along the seaside, harbor, and park; it’s all free.
Reading and writing
Since started writing, I feel like to be a Uni student again, keep learning new things, I have countless books to read and have no time being bored.
It is the happiest thing I’ve ever had as it uses all my strengths; it reflects my personality and gives me the high expectation of the future.
If someone would like to swap with me a BMW car, or a luxury house or One-year European trip, I will tell them: Sorry, I’d better do reading and writing.
I don’t need a massive house; I can’t afford time to do housework;
After one-year traveling, I won’t be used to the normal life when I am back and probably has difficult to find a job.
In fact, whenever I traveled in China, after six weeks, I was eager to go home, that’s the feeling I’ve got from a few years’ traveling.
I couldn’t stand staying in a hotel and eating in a restaurant anymore; I wanna go home.
Let alone in European countries, can you handle having western food all the time?
A BMW is not for me, and so far I don’t need a car because I live in the city which is so convenient to take public transport to every part of Melbourne.
Writing and reading are free, I borrow books from the library, I don’t pay money for writing, and it’s ongoing work which makes me feel content.
We only have 24 hours a day, 8 hours work, 2 hours traveling, 8 hours sleep and there are 6 hours left.
I spend six hours practicing dancing, running, walking, jogging, housework, cooking, reading and writing. They are all free.
I have gained tremendous pleasure from doing what I really realy really want to do; they are my choices.
I have no time to compare with others what they are doing or what they have, that’s not what I want, it doesn’t matter with me whatever luxury life they are having.
Friends, have you ever thought about what you really really really want to do, and please write down a list so that will be more active do what you enjoy doing and to be a happier person.
