I need to change employee mindset to be an awesome entrepreneur

I didn't realise I have become an entrepreneur, yet I still have an employee mindset.


Until today when I had day two Professional Coach Round Table training, Matt told us that if I want to run a successful business, I must be a fucking awesome salesperson.


Every business is about sales and marketing.


Unsuccessful people avoid sales and marketing.


It's me; I am avoiding to do what I hate.



I never had sales experience in my life; I was too embarrassed to ask for money.


It seemed to be a salesperson only cares about how to make money; that's my fixed mindset.


Sales is a skill, and I must master if I want to be an excellent entrepreneur.


Sales is about adding values to the clients. For example, coaching is about how to change the mindset of the clients and help them to make a change so that it can shorten the time for the clients to reach their goals.


It's win-win.






At this stage, I am playing the role of both as a client and as a coach. 


I paid coaching school, and I had today's training, the coaching institute helped me to change my mindset, which gave me a lot of self-confidence and courage to run my successful business.


Otherwise, I will be too stressed to handle this brand new area.



As the top coaches and salespeople, Matt and Joe are so experienced, and I learned a lot from them.


Yes, I am no longer an employee; I am an awesome entrepreneur.


I must change my mindset; I don't want to go back to work for a company again. I want to be my boss so that I can live on my values.


Therefore, I must move forward; there's no choice.





Meanwhile, I am learning marketing.


I will have a massive change next year.


I used to regard writing blogs as a hobby; now, I treat it as marketing, which inspires me to write more blogs regularly.


Well, in 2020, I will create a landing page, I will set up the Facebook Like page, LinkedIn, running workshops, webinars, posting videos.


They are all the tools of marketing; I must master them; it's not negotiable. 


I am not good at sales and marketing skills at all, yet I am a learning machine, I would love to be an expert, only at that time, I can be a successful businesswoman.


That's my challenge in 2020.

You are right and you got the point. Each company makes profits by selling its products or offering some services. Marketing plays an inportant role in a company's operation. Of course, the products or services should be guaranteed well in quality. We all know that, while we are not willing to sell them. I think we  do not want to be in a situation of embarassment if we are refused by clients. But a good product or service is always welcomed. Just like myself, I also think I am not a person of selling stuff to others. Now I gradually realise I should change my mind. By introducing to others, including something to be sold, and even personality, it enriches us both in mind and matter.
