My best friend Xu is a very pretty girl. We were in the same classroom and soon became good friends for the reason that we shared similar interests.
Xu is slender and has fair skin, rosy cheeks and a pouty mouth. When she is laughing, I feel happy as well; when she meets with griefs, I hope I can cheer her up. I always have a really good time with her, for she has a good sense of humor.
Nevertheless, there are conflicts in our relationship. Once, I got exasperated with her waywardness and determined not to coax her this time. We didn't talk to each other for a long time. One day, when I was on my way home, someone behind me suddenly grabbed my bag. I thought it was one of my friends who always went home together with me, therefore I turned round with a smile. It was Xu. We stared at each other for a few seconds and then she hugged me tightly, crying like a child.
"Don't leave me." She wailed. "I'm afraid of losing your friendship. Please don't leave me!" I consoled her with mixed feelings, but I was suddenly cognizant of the fact that she relied on me just as I relied on her; we needed each other.
