Knowledge Never Equals Wisdom

Hot 4671 views. 2016-11-19 15:06

'Knowledge' and 'wisdom' are two different words. Some people think that they are the same and being wise equals being smart. But it's not right.
In my opinion, wisdom has nothing to do with knowledge.
If you have a wealth of knowledge, it means that you can solve a lot of problems using your knowledge but you may still stuck by some simple problems if you are not wise. But if you are wise, you are able to live a peaceful and fulfilling life without much knowledge. For example, my grandpa graduated from high school and he doesn't own a wealth of knowledge but he often tells me how to achieve a successful and fulfilling life and he always tells me to be modest and thrifty. However, there are a lot of university professors who commit severe crimes. And it's true that being smart doesn't mean being a good man and one with a poor knowledge can also be wise.
But it's vital for us to obtain knowledge now.
Wisdom is usually developed and concluded from knowledge. At the same time, we should learn how to make what we are doing meaningful and beneficial. It's never acceptable to use our knowledge to do bad things. And we should always remember that knowledge never equals wisdom.

Yes, they are so different from each other. I have 'studied' the two words all day.

Wow, it seems that you are quite patient and I think patience is a symbol of wisdom.

I think knowledge is the fundation of wisdom. And I agree than having wisdom is not equal to having knowledge.

That's true. We should all remember that.

A person who has a lot of knowledge may fail to gain wisdom from life. So I agree with you~
