The Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the traditional Chinese festivals. It falls on the 15th day of August. There is no doubt that there are a lot of traditional things to do on this day.
In the first place, before the Mid- Autumn Festival, every family will make the house clean and beautiful. Lanterns will be hanged in front of the house. In addition, each family will have the members get together to have a big dinner on this day. Besides, the traditional food is moon-cakes on this day. And the moon is usually round and bright on the Mid-Autumn Day. People can enjoy the beautiful moonlight while they are eating moon-cakes. Furthermore, people are talking and laughing in the moonlight. Thia is a rare opportunity for a family reunion.
This Thursday is the Mid-Autumn Festival, but I can't stay with my family on that day because I study in another city. Therefore, I want to tell my families I deeply miss them. I would like to tell them"Happy Mid-Autumn Day". What's more, I wish my families are happy and healthy forever!
