Come on , Guys. Follow your inner voice.

In our life, more often than not ,we have to make various decisions. whatever decision we make,we should bear the principle that the decision is made on the basis of our willing in mind.
It has been one year since I majored in translation. Looking back to last year when I finished the great task -- GaoKao, I had a serious quarrel with my parents on what I should major. I bet that a majority of students have faced or will deal with this situation. At that time,my parents insisted on those hot majors,such as finance, accountant and law. I was strongly against them.
So I followed my own inner voice.
This is not about obeying parents' suggestions or not , it is about making my choice for my own future. It goes without saying that "Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice." " I do love this motto. Each decision we made is about ourselves,so we must take responsibility to ourselves.Hard as the learning process is,I still have passion to try my best. The reason is that this is my own choice and I love my major which is of great significance.
So,follow your course,and let person talk.

- I really feel proud of you, and I also feel embarrassed about myself. I am wondering how you could be that thoughtful and determined at such age. For me, after Gaokao, I only hoped that I could be accepted by a college and a major, I never thought about whether I would like that school or major. So, compared with you, I felt very embarrassed. I think you are very wise to make your own choice.
From my own experience, I blindly chose a major, more exactly, I was distributed to that major, so I felt it very boring at the beginning. But I had to learn it well, because I was always "the good student or good child" in others' eyes, I really didn't let my parents down, so I was forced to learn it well. Actually, "to learn it well" indeed means to get good scores in exams. So, you know what I learnt only constrained to the books, very limited knowledge. Just because I wasn't very interested in my major, so I always felt tired and sometimes even resistant. Except high scores, I didn't see any pride. What was more, after four years' study in college, I had another three years to get further study in my major. You might ask why I still insisted my major even if I didn't like it, because I was under the pressure to find a job after graduation, you knew, the employees would pay attention to whether your bachelor degree and master degree were of the same major, that mattered a lot in their eyes. So, I was a person submitted to the reality. Now I was working in a industry related to my major, honestly, I was still trying my best to have interest in it.
I really appreciate your foresight, determination and optimism. Maybe, now your choice doesn't get others' approvals, I want to say, so what? You master your own destiny and future, so I think you've made a right choice and I also bet you would feel proud of your decision in the future. As you've mentioned, though the learning process is hard, you still have passion to try your best, so I can see your passion and determination today would definitely make you succeed someday in the future. Although you didn't chose your favourite , you also did very well which I can obviously vitness your study ability. From my perspective, sometimes we have the determination to do our own dicision, but not every time we are able to follow our inner voice.Nothing we can do but obey the reality. Fortunatly, I did what I want to do. I will really cherish this decision I made. On contrast, no matter what decision we should make or what decision we should accept,what we can do is just accept.
