Traffic problem has become a platitude, but it's still very hard to find a perfect solution. In modern society, traffic jam becomes a growing worry for many citizens. And in big city, a terrible traffic jam always happens in rush hours.

In my opinion, one of the biggest reasons of traffic jam now is the increasing number of private cars. With the growth of economy, people's living standard is improving very rapidly, so they have the desire and ability to make their life more convenient. That is why more and more people want to own a car, and that is why the traffic problem becomes more and more serious. The government has taken many measures on this problem, such as broadening the existing roads, publishing the odd-even license plate policy, and developing the public transportation. These solutions are all very helpful to traffic jam. But there are also many disadvantages in them. On the one hand, the road system of our country has become very complete, so the reconstruction of any road could cause a great effect to other roads, thereby affecting people's daily life and causing more inconvenience. On the other hand, people who choose public transport are always those who don't have a car. They have no choice but to take a subway or a bus. After all, a private car is more comfortable and convenient. So I think the top priority of solving the traffic jam is to change people's attitude towards cars and reduce people's reliance on cars. Only when those car owners consider car as one of their transportation instead of their only means of transport, the solutions which given by the government will be effective and the traffic jam can be better improved.

To solve traffic problem, we still have a long way to go. But I believe as long as we find a right way and work hard, we will surely be rewarded.
