In China, parents help their children as much as they can, and even make important decisions for them and care little about what their children want, because they believe that is good for them. As a result, children's growth and education are always surrendering to their parents' wills.
If parents decide to sign up an extra class for children to increase the chance of being admitted to a key university, they will insist their own decisions, even if their children have no interest in.
However, in the US, parents probably respect their child's opinions and pay more attention to their opinions when making decisions.
It may be praiseworthy that Chinese parents think highly of education. But they should learn how to balance the relationship between parents and children when related to education from American parents.
