We are living in an age of new technology, which suggests people are surrounded by technology and impacted by it. New technology develops so fast that we can't follow its step. So, when we benefit from it, we should know how to treat its negative aspect. Today, I want to talk about language translators.

This week, a teacher who teaches us preliminary oral interpreting course showed us some videoes where some persons applied language translators to daily life and talked with each other directly. I was so shocked that I could hardly say a word. For one thing, language translators are small in size, light in weight and stylish im design, which is convenient for people to carry about. In addition, with technology developing fast, the price of language translators becomes more favorable. So, more and more people can afford it. What's important is that not only can language translators give multilingual service to people but also translate all kinds of dialects to any languages.

To be honest, faced with such serious problem, we, as English major students, are under great pressure. However, we should try our best to meet this challenge instead of being defeated by it. We should make the best of our advantages. For example, we can express us by body language which can help others understand the real meaning of our words. But language translators can only speak mechanically. So, we must practice our ability of memory and expression so that we can follow the step of technology.

In a word, we aren't afraid of the language translators. Only by continuous learning can we support ourselves in this competitive world.
