In recent days, the message that the south gate of our college will be closed arises widespread concern among students and shops around the gate. Both students and stores make complaints about the decision. From my point of view, it might be a good way to ensure students to have a healthy diet.

Why do I say that? For one thing, the problem of food safety has become so serious that people should pay enough attention to it. From the daily news, it is clear to see that people are surrounded by so much unhealthy food. Some of them even have poisonous substance which may make eaters or drinkers ill. They obviously threaten people's security of eating. Of course, college students should also pay more attention to this issue. For another, eating unhealthy food which most of us call "snack", may reduce the normal intake of three meals. Students do not have meals regularly and this may weaken their health.

Therefore, as college students, it may be our rights to come up with our ideas or suggestions to the administrators. Nevertheless, we should respect the decisions from school and government, especially when they are based on caring for our health.
