The Significance of Aura in Public Speaking

Hot 5850 views. 2018-5-13 16:58

There has been much talk about speaking skills in public speeches. But much less discussion about the notion that the speaker's aura attaches great importance to his performance than anything else. From my perspective, aura of a person is fairly critical in speaking, especially public speaking.

For the most part, speakers with an aura are more likely to be admired by judges and audience. There are several factors to illustrate the result. In the first place, aura is shown through the speaker's movements, words and even expression. If the speaker behaves naturally, he/she shows judges and audience how confident he/she is. Secondly, everyone seems to be given to believe in the speaker with an aura for the reason that he looks authoritative and trustworthy. Furthermore, judges and audience may automatically ignore the speaker's flaws because of his aura. Judges and audience are attracted by this quality and can only see the glittering of speakers.

Under this circumstance, it is the time that each person should cultivate his own aura if he wants to be outstanding among quite a few participants. Of course, the only way to cultivate the aura is to practise. The more a speaker practises, the stronger his aura will be.

I can not agree with you any more because I am in lack of aura. It is so hard for me to have it since I am a little shy and not confident. Nevertheless, I believe I can become more confident by repreated practice.

It is true that a person's aura has great impact on his/her performance in a public speaking, because we often will be easily shocked by one's strong aura and will have a good impression on a confident person.

I remember that a person said "one of the most difficult things in the world is speaking in public." Nowadays, more and more people train themselves to do well in public speaking, but they always ignore the notion that the aura plays great role in public speaking. I Hope we can become good public speakers by practicing how to create a strong aura.

There is no doubt that aura is very important for us, especially in public speaking.
But I believe it is not innate, but can be acquired through the efforts of the day by day. Therefore, everyone can get aura if they try their best.

you are speaking, you are delivering information at the same time. if you lack confidence, your speech would lack convincing force.

Someone may be born with aura, but other may not. People like me without aura should practise speaking more in public. Then we can possess it.

Yeah, confidence is a large part of public speaking. Only if we are full of confidence can we make the content we try to convey understood and be believed.

All right, I guess that someone looks as if they have a aura of authority because they are not afraid of speaking in public. They are confident even though they have no reasons.
