The Importance of Competition in Children’s Education

Hot 62092 views. 2018-5-13 10:05

Nowadays, the modern society is characterized by rapid pace. Consequently, the competition of the entire society is more and more intense, which causes more pressure to people, especially children. Therefore, it has long been a contentious issue as to whether competition is more important than cooperation in children's education. Some people are of the opinion that the sense of competition can stimulate children's growth, and prompt them to make great progress. While others claims that cooperation is the key to success, and no one can fulfill a task by himself. From my point of view, the first opinion holds more weight.

For on thing, currently, everyone lives in a fierce and competitive environment. In order to make children adapt to the competitive society as soon as possible. It is necessary to cultivate children's competitive spirit. For another, children can learn something new in the competitive society. What's more, the sense of competition can prompt children to make progress continuously. In addition, children can be aware of their shortcomings when they compete with others, which will improve them to study harder than before. In my opinion, every child is the pride of their parents. However, there are still a lot of people who are more excellent than them. Accordingly, it is extremely important for us to pay more attention to the importance of competition in children's education.

To sum up, competition is the core of social development and progress. Children can only achieve success if they have strong competitiveness.

I heard one proverb:when everybody adds fuel, the flames rise high. So my viewpoint is different from yours. I believe in the fast developed world, knowing how to cooperate with others is also very important in one's growth. Because we live in the same society, we are not able to handle all thigs alone. Hence, we'd better acknowlege the importance of cooperation.

In my opinion, it is vital to develop students' competitive ability. We all know, our society full of grim competition. If students cannot learn to compete, they will not adapt to society successfully.

As an old saying goes, pressure drives impetus. So I think that it is necessary to cultivate students' competitive ability.

Developing children's competitiveness is essential for themselves. Just as your saying, competition is the core of social development and progress. Our society needs competition.

From my point of view,  competition and corperation are of importance in education. Competition can teach childeren to improve themselves under pressure, while corperation can tell children to work together.

Yes, you are right. In fact, cooperation is also important for people. Sometimes, someone can finish a task more quickly when he cooperates with others. However, everyone is an individual, and most of the time people have to fight alone. Therefore, being competitive is more important for children.

I can’t agree with you more. Our society is a very fierce environment. Therefore, children must have competitiveness so that they cannot be catched by others.

Nowadays, there are all kinds of competent people in our society. Therefore, it is very difficult for children to achieve success if they don’t have competitiveness.

From my point of view, I think competition and cooperation both can be uesd in children's education,  for the reason that those two things don't contradict with each other but can prompt each other. Children should be able to cooperate with others in competition, which is more beneficial to them.
