With the relatively low retirement age nowadays and the citizen's longer expectancy, China is going to raise its pension age. Should pension age need to be postponed?

   Supporters, especially the government officials, hold the idea that postponing the retirement age would coincide with our nation's development. Some object it for their heavier workload and not-so-good rates of paying. University graduates also don't applaud the idea because they fear that this scheme would deprive their opportunities to work. From my point of view, raising the pension age is more advisable. My arguments for this point are listed as follows.

   To start with, the 21st century has faced with an unprecedented aging population. More and more elderly people will lead to unavoidable financial pressure for young men. Getting those at the retirement age to work will drastically solve the problem. In the second place, raising the pension age is beneficial for those companies who seek experienced and high-skilled workers. As for the old, they can also find values from this policy. Not only can they make money to support themselves, but earn respect from young workers by making full use of their treasured talents and skills.

In a word, population aging has raised a critical issue for our whole society, and postponing retirement age is one effective measure to be taken.
