Needless to say, watching the latest blockbuster or a fairly uncommon art film in a cinema with parents and friends has become more and more prevalent nowadays. Watching movies provides us with an opportunity to relax and share.It goes without saying that everyone has his or her favorite movie. When it comes to my favorite movie, the title that pops into my head immediately is a French movie: Le fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain. In the next paragraphs I am gald to recommend you the movie and explain why the movie fascinates me most.

At the threshold of my recommendation, I want to introduce the main plot to you. The movie told a story of the wonderful experience of Amelie. The protagonist had never basked in the love of family. Ridiculously her father deprived her of the right of education so she had to stay at home. To kill time , she discovered the delight of life by herself. As she grew up, she served in a cafe.Occasionally she found an old tin box where places some treasures a boy cherishes. At the sight of the tin box, she decided to find the owner of the box and give the precious memory to him.

What strikes me most in this movie is its poetic style as well as compelling scores. The dominant hues in this movie are blue, green and red. The film successfully reappears Paris with poetic realistic atmosphere in 1930s, especially the courtyard of Amelie's apartment, the stairways as well as the antique interior decorations. The director admitted by saying, " the memory of France, the views, feelings and all other things in my childhood have been haunting me with much nostalgia." By composition of pianos, violins, accordions, tums and mouth organs, the film constructs an image of "spiritual Paris", giving mass audiences a feeling as if they are flying on a swing of spring days with breeze caressing faces.An ingenious combination of amazing film soundtracks with the screen pictures dazzlingly colorful or alternatively tranquil makes the film just perfect!

Furthermore, unfortunate as Amelie was in her childhood, she is always kind and curious to the world. She still could retain the spirit of infancy even into the era of manhood. Perhaps the reason why I highly recommend this movie is that I think I am like Amelie to some degree. Sometimes I am indulged in my own world, sometimes I will imagine a few fairy tales and write them down. Like Amélie, I have my own briefs and persistence, and I will never follow suit blindly.
