Today, I'm going to talk about something extremely serious and heavy. I want to begin with a movie which I have just watched a couple of hours ago. It's called Carnival. It tells a story about two young girls who have been raped by a powerful official Liu in a small hotel. One little girl is Meng, another is Zhang . The girl who was on duty that night happened to see the man walking into that two girls' room from the surveillance video and she recorded it with her phone but she didn't tell anyone else. After a few days, one of the two girls couldn't hold the truth any longer so she told her parents. Thus, the whole thing started to be exposed and the two families decided to call the police and sue Liu. Meng's mother turned to a lawyer, Hao. The police went to that hotel to query the hotel staff but the hotel manager lied for not damage the image of his hotel. It seemed that the police didn't want to take charge of this affair any more but the lawyer Hao wasn't willing to give up. She felt like that someone isn't telling the truth. So she found that girl on duty that night in private and gave her some money, hoping that she could reveal everything she knew, but that girl didn't because she didn't want to lose her job until one night she was raped by three men. After that night, she found the lawyer on her own initiative and told her where to find the evidence which could lead to Liu's capture. Then, something more unacceptable happened. Liu used his money and power to gang up with the police and some doctors to fabricate evidence which was good for him. What's more, he even found Zhang's parents and asked them to withdraw the sue, as a payment, he would afford two girls' tuition. To my surprise, Zhang's parents agreed.Fortunately, in the end, all bad guys lost their job and status and got caught.

Although the ending in the movie is better than I thought, the whole story made me depressed and I know that in the real world, all things just cannot go that easily.

Firstly, I want to talk about is a scandal exposed yesterday. It happened in a kindergarten, a private one. Teachers in that kindergarten injected their young students some kind of hallucinogen and took them to a place which was used by some unknown men to rape them. Those children's parents had been kept in the dark until recently they found some needle eyes on their children's hands. This event caught great attention among civilizations including many famous artists and some of them stood out and showed their rage. However, those relevant departments seemed to try to conceal these from the public.

Children can't receive good protection, which is a great disappointment to all kind people. Law-enforcing department can't take immediate and effective actions to solve this kind of problems, which is irresponsible and unforgivable. Those indifferent folks, who think that this kind of things is none of their businesses, are ignorant and sad.

This society is not as good as you and I once thought it was. What happened yesterday is just a tip of the iceberg. Sexual assault, discrimination, campus violence, corruption and bribes, prohibition of homosexuality-there are so many issues. Some of them once appeared in people's eyesight but were soon been forgotten with time passing by. And there are still many of them hiding in the darkness.

 Don't think that all these things are irrelevant to you. Sooner or later, they may happen to people around you or yourself. When that day comes, you will regret being unconcerned before.

Today when I was watching that film, I cried because I felt so helpless. I love my country so I want to see it become better, but at the moment, I really can't see it's future. One person's power is feeble but I firmly hold that if everyone can unite as one and be willing to settle these issues from the bottom of their hearts, our country will get better one way or another. The question is how many of you have the courage to take on the challenge of changing a dark corner into a carnival?
