As is known to us all, nowadays, many people in China especially young adults have idols. I, too, have my own idol. I was always thinking to introduce him to you. As he has released his new song B.M few days ago, I think it is the perfect time to write something about him.

His name is Kris. Today, I am not going to recommend his masterpieces to you. Instead, I want you to learn more about his experiences and how he affects me.

He was born in Guangzhou but immigrated to Vancouver when he was 10 with his mother. They lived a really tough existence there. Thus, when he was 18, he went to South Korea, entering the S.M. entertainment. He then became a trainee in that company. In 2012, he officially entered the entertainment circle as a member of a group called EXO. In 2014, he left that group and came back to China and began his own career, both on films and music.

He can speak Chinese, English, Korean and Cantonese. Many people say that he has a gift. I don’t agree. He spent many years living in three different countries. He took many adventures, endured many doubts and hateful things that people said about him, which made him he is today.

To some extent, he is the spiritual model of my life. Although he doesn’t know me, he teaches me that when we meet setbacks in life, we can’t just give our dreams easily; he teaches me that we ought to take control of our own life and don’t let others tell you what you can do and can not do. He once said: ’Taking my time, step by step.’ This has already become my motto. I study hard and do exercises every day to become a better person. After all my idol is so distinguished, how can I be a drag on him?

Groups of people hold negative attitudes toward becoming a kind of crazy fan of one artist or two but I am pretty sure that if your idol is a person full of positive energy and respectful merits, he or she is absolutely worthwhile being admired.
