In recent years, too much concentration is going to mandarin and English language. Generally, people find there is little scope for speaking dialects. It is universally acknowledged that compared with dialects, mandarin can be understood by all people and it is beneficial to information transmission.Consequently, so many people hold the view that dialects are not vital. I don't subscribe to it.

On the one hand, the dialects are part of our cultures and they give us the details about the development of our own ethnic. Keeping a dialect is beneficial to the inheritance of our local culture. Providing that we all use mandarin to commune with others, we will ignore our dialect and not pass on it. On the other hand, dialects represent the identity for an ethnicity. Dialects make people who from the same region feel more closely. Speaking in our own dialects makes us feel proud, and it up to our strength.

In conclusion, I argue that we should spare no efforts to protect the dialect.Protecting dialect is of great significance. Mandarin can make us go father and more easily, but dialects let us remember where we started.
