Flashback to the first day when I came to university

Seeing new students and parents packing into the campus, I cannot help thinking of my first coming. Last year, on 2nd September, I boarded the flight to Nanjing with my parents, and this is also our first visit to this city. The first impression of Nanjing was the high temperature doubtlessly. In the same season, we needed thin coats to wear in my hometown, however, we just needed T-Shirts. Although we wore a little, we still felt more than hot, and the sweat poured off us. We had to spend some time in adjusting ourselves to the hot weather. I have to say I do not like the weather in the slightest. After we stepped off the plane, we called a taxi and it took us almost 300 yuan to take a taxi from Lukou International Airport to a small hotel nearby the university in that we thought taking a taxi was the best choice when citizens went to an unfamiliar place for the first time. Probably you will think it was crazy of us to take a taxi when we would come by bus and subway as well.
