Age of Youth, telling stories among five girls who live in the same homestay family, is one of my favourite youth serials of Korea. One part of the television serial which attracts me most is that it does mirrors the reality of our dorm life in college. Every character has his distinctive personalities, from whom we can also find more or less ourselves.

 Yin Zhenmin, the most aggressive of them, is cumbered with family and countless debt thus she has little time to have a rest, just doing several part-time jobs around the clock.Zhen Yi'en, a lovely carefree girl, gradually becomes depressed in love for the reason that she always compromises with her boyfriend and suffers the dating violence when breaking up. Song Zhiyuan is the most optimistic girl who never falls in love with others despite she always goes on a blind date.The fourth protagonist, Jiang Yina who lives on boyfriends' money disguises herself as a college student due to her admiration of Yin ZhenMin's effort. The last is Liu Encai, who is more than introverted and is the youngest. Slowly, as they overcome many difficulties together, deep friendships are formed.

The words impress and affect me most is Encai's internal monologue after her emotional outburst of being ignored and treated unequally, on account of which five girls confide their dissatisfaction to each other and solve the difficulties eventually. She says, " I thought that only I did endure their habits, only I did feel uncomfortable and aggrieved, only I did try to adapt to their dispositions, and that expressing my feeling and dissatisfaction would only receive dislike. Now I know I was erroneous. I know that we are the same. We all had the sense of uneasiness. We all hesitated. We are all kind-hearted."

The words offer me a mode about how to live in the dorm. When living with strangers, it's no use being angry about others, the best way to have an affinity for each other is applicable tolerance and necessary communication rather than continuous patience.
