The first time that I knew BEC was a night last semester when my classmate Wang Yeqi was practising oral part with her partner. They communicated through their cellphones in the dim corridor of the dormitory. Because of curiosity, I asked her what she was doing after they finished.

    The second time I thought about BEC was at the end of the last term when it comes to thing about my future development and consider whether I should take postgraduate exams. Compared with the boring technical translation, I prefer British and American cultures and business English. So I searched a little information about BEC, including the cost, exam time, the place and the content. Subsequently, I determined to take the exam. Also, before I finally confirmed that I took the test on 15, January, I download a test of BEC-Vantage and BEC-High and try each of them to decide the level I take.

    Next is the long preparation. In the course of the winter vacation, I planed to look over the students' book and recite the business words. Nevertheless, winter vacation is too short and I only finished the students' book. As a result, I adjusted my plan at the beginning of this term. During the March, I memorized the words quickly and roughly. It's not easy although the majority of the words I have learned, these words in the business world have different meanings. Fortunately, I finished as the April comes. From April, I began to focus on the authentic examination papers from Cambridge ESOL. And I chose Yang ziyi as my oral partner. We have to practise every night.

    Now, there is about merely 5 days left before the examination. I also have printed the admission ticket. Wish me a success!
