In recent years, more and more young people choose to apply for a driver's license, especially high school graduates. However, the fact is that teenage drivers are more prone to traffic accidents, compared with older drivers.According to this, people debate the problem about the age of drivers.
Personally, I am inclined to raise the legal age for driving. For the one thing, teenage drivers are more reckless while they are driving. They sometimes overestimate their driving ability which makes them ignore the complexity of the road. It's dangerous for drivers and passers-by. For another thing, teenage drivers are more likely to be distracted while they are driving. And even a minor error in an operation can cause a serious accident.
To sum up, it is necessary to raise the legal age for driving. In order to improve road safety and reduce the risk of accidents, government should take more stringent measures.
