Should businesses relocate in countryside from city?

Whether some businesses should be encouraged to move from cities to rural areas has been discussed for years, for the traffic and housing pressure of cities is increasing. Supporters think moving some businesses can think change the situation of lacking resources in cities, while opponents are against in that moving will transfer pressure to rural areas.

In my viewpoint, the government could encourage some businesses to move to the suburb. First, for companies, suburb usually offers better surroundings than urban areas. A better office environment and living condition there will motivate the employees to work with greater enthusiasm. Second, for cities, there is no doubt that moving some companies to rural areas will relieve the pressure from resource shortage, overpopulation, heavy traffic and pollution problem, so that our cities will become a better place to live in. Third, for suburb, it would not only increase the integrity of infrastructure but also boost the local economy if some businesses moved to rural areas. That is good to narrow the wide wealth gap between rural and urban areas.

However, on the other hand, cultivated land is likely to shrink due to the occupation of commercial buildings. The problem of food shortage follows. Meanwhile, environmental deterioration may arise from such a migration since the ecosystem in rural areas is fragile. So, the premise of achieving perfect movement is that satisfy mutual needs and make reasonable plans. It is inadvisable to transfer the pressure from cities to countries.

All in all, the government should encourage some businesses to move from cities to rural areas but not sacrifice good environment.

Every coin has two sides. On the one hand, the infrastructure in countryside is behind the average level or just touch the mediocre line so it will be disadvantageous for businesses' economical development. On the other hand, relocation can benefit cities' environmental surroundings and weaken space using stress. Moreover, relocation may provide more job vacancies for people in countryside so that thier incomes can increase. All in all, I think the government should think about this thing from both enviromental and economical aspects.

Aha, it is really a tough question, but we have to be confronted with and solve it. Our aim is sustainable development. By now, especially recent years our government has attached importance to our environment and dispose of pollution. Also to adjust the industrial layout, that is very important.

It's a difficult problem, and it can't be solved in a short time. I agree with you. Some factories can move to the countryside. It is very important to balance the relationship between the economic development and the environment, and hope that the government can solve this problem in the future.

Most developed countries in the world have experienced the dilemma between increasing economy and protecting environment in their developing time. It is not easy to be resolved in a short time. Sometimes, we have to sacrifice somethings to gain other things.

Take companies in developed countries as an example. They move their businesses to our country. On the one hand, it does promote economic development and partly solve the problem of unemployment. However, on the other hand, the cost is that our environment is greatly polluted. The relocation of businesses is just like this. Hope the government can find a solution that satisfies both sides.

yes, you are right,  a factory moved to my hometown many years ago. It offered jobs for countryside labors, which resolved the unemployment in some way. But it also producted a lot of problems, such as air pollution, water pollution and soil pollution, which damaged the environment.
