Recently, a piece of news that AlphaGo Zero has beaten easily AlphaGO who had won Ke Jie several days ago attracted many attention. Apparently, the reason why people show solicitude for AI is that it has close connection with our life.
Artificial Intelligence is a branch of computer science that attempts to understand the essence of intelligence and produce a new intelligent machine reacting in a similar way to human intelligence. Li Kai Fu, a computer researcher, has said that AI is to explain the process of people learning, to quantify the process of people thinking, to clarify the behavior of people and to understand the intelligence of people. In other words, AI is a high-tech machine to learn and react people's mind and behavior.
There is no doubt that AI changes our daily life rapidly and steadily.
First of all, it actually benefits our daily life and enhance the quality of life. Traveling by car without any drivers or working in a company without any assistants,which could not be imaginable, may be reality one day. Working efficiency will be higher as the time in dealing with the housework will be saved with the assistance of AI.
What's more, it significantly facilitates the development of some industries. Labour-intensive industries will improve their efficiency to meet people's ever-growing needs with the promotion of AI. Doctors will be more professional in how to diagnose patient's condition with the help of AI. Security companies will estimate the development trend of stock prices with the assistance of big data.
Nevertheless, it undeniably brings some problems. For instance, more people will grumble about losing their jobs and AI will replace traders, bankers, teachers, lawyers, reporters, etc. More people will be afraid of being destroyed one day due to the strong and continuous learning ability of AI.
As far as I am concerned, people's fearing about AI is normal, but what does matter is our attitudes and ways of using it.Although AI is an irreversible trend and direction of the era, how to reach this goal depends on ourselves.
