Can you accept down-to-earth marriage

Recently, a chart about down-to-earth illustrates that more than 70% of the male can absolutely accept it. Nevertheless, the women merely about 50% can accept it. Obviously, men's acceptability is higher than women. Behind the phenomenon, there is some social and individual cause.
With the development of society, women's social status becomes as significant as men, but they are still in a weak position. Therefore they need more sense of security which could protect themselves. On the contrary, men's mentality is more independent and powerful. On the other hand, marriage is not an insubstantial poem. It's based on a material basis. The real deficiency in daily life can't bring happiness to the couple. Maybe it's the reason why the majority can't endure the down-to-earth marriage.

- As far as I am concered, I agree with that marriage is based on material. However, the level of everyone's life depends on personal chioce, right? Anyway, we should take more confidence about it.
