Should animals be used for experimentations?

Nowadays, experimental usage of animal has become a widely concerned issue around the world. People hold different views on it. Some people think that using animals for experimentations is meaningful to the society. Opponents claim that it is an extremely crude behavior. In my opinion, I support using animals before people can find better substitutes.
During the advancement of human beings, animals that are used for experimentations play an important role and make great contributions to human being. On the one hand, animals' bodies are similar to mankind in function. Scientists can develop new medicines to cure diseases by using animals for experimentations. It's an effective way to decrease the lost of failure and get more accurate date to confirm the experimental result. On the other hand, it is impossible and cruel to do the experimentations on people directly. All drugs should be tested for safety before they can be used in humans.
All in all, using animals is not killing them cruelly, but for the progress of the whole society.

- While using animals is not killing them cruelly, it is indeed cruel and those experimentak animals are sympathetic. Although we are huamn beings, there is no any evidence show that we are superior than animals. It may be legal to use animals in experiments but immoral in actions. Everytime, a child suffer from illness, its family menbers, especially its mother feel heartbreaking. Can you imagine, if the same situation happens on animals and their mothers, or evern worse.There is nobody assure that scientists use them for experiment and they can live as normal as before the operation. Their mothers can be heartbreaking too.

- Actually, it is indeed cruel to use animals for experimentations. But now most of the experimentations were carried out with mice raised in the laboratory. This reduces damage to animals in nature significantly.
