Mother's Day tradition originated from the antique Greek worship of the goddess. In the middle of the 17th century, Mother's Day spread to England. The mother and daughter of Mrs. Jarvis of the United States spared no effort in commemorating and praising mothers. In the United States Congress in 1914, the United States formally established the second Sunday of May every year as Mother's Day. Afterwards, it was supported by quite a few countries around the world and became an international Mother's Day. Mothers usually receive gifts on this day. Carnations are regarded as flowers for mothers. Mothers' flowers in China are daylily and they are also called forgetfulness.
But nowadays, with the development of society, more and more people leave their parents for college or work. On Mother's Day, most mothers are given gifts from their children who are far away, but are these really what they want most? Maybe what they want is only the company of their children.Nevertheless, this most basic requirement has become a luxury.
There is no denying the fact that mother is the one who loves their children most. As Zhang Ailing said: "Mothers have a common problem. If you say what kind of food is delicious, they often cook the dish until you complain tiredly. In fact, in her life, she is desperately trying to make you feel good, give it to you, and give it all to you."
According to what is said above, nothing is more important than caring more about those who love us most. Don't wait until they are old and until it's too late to regret it.
Last, wish all mothers happy Mother's Day!
