Chongyang Festival, a festival especially for the elderly, is celebrated on Sept 9 of the lunar calendar, which is today.

While the elderly's living conditions have improved, a fact for them also have been emerging. Firstly, old people have no thought about what their children or grandchildren say. They always try their best to catch the new words of the young, but they fail. There is one more point, as is known to us, the elderly is one of vulnerable groups. It's unable to accomplish one thing by themselves. Going across the road, for example, is a little difficult for them. Due to their slow speed, most of them feel scared. Additionally, numerous reports show the elderly often become easy prey to crooks. In a word, old people feel more and more helpless.

As a matter of fact, our senior needs neither expensive gift nor celebration. They only hope to stay with family instead of being left alone. Being around with children, they have a chance to ask and know the new words and concept of the young. Being accompanied with family, they have no worry about everything they can not do alone. Therefore, the festival calls everyone to spend more time with their senior. Whatever we do, be sure our senior knows how deep we love them.
