Amid coronavirus outbreak, the medics contribute a great many, and people feel fairly grateful for what they have done.
These days, a series of policies were published by the authorities, which give children of medics an extra 10 points in the high school entrance exam.
At first, I consider it to be some kind of unfairness. Some netizens in ZhiHu argued intensely that why the children have the right to benefit from parents' contribution? And why aren't the rewards been given directly to the medics themselves?
But one of my friend persuaded me by reasonable words.
He said, to the medics, it's only a COMPENSATION rather than a REWARD. Since they were sent to frontline, their children would undoubtedly suffer from great anxiousness about their parents, and have to spare more time in taking care of themselves because of the absence of parents, which will certainly impact their performance in the exam.
Have you been convinced?
It's a catastrophe of the whole country, not only for the patients and medics. People from everywhere and every fields should contribute a little. Is'n it?
