How to teach my little son!

This is a forever question! How to teach our child! I found that I had more and more contradiction with him when his age grow up. He is a 9 years old now. He have many new ideas and pretext to deny his mistake. For example, One day I didn't finish his homework of summer holiday. I asked the reasons , why didn't you finish the homework before watching Television? then,His answer was is on pretext of busy. I was so very angry with him at that time.
But , when I cooled down, I detected the angry which didn't have any help to this thing. He didn't obey my suggest not at all .
The second times, the same thing happened again! I call for his mother to teach him. The effect was very nice. I thought that the son was more scare mother than father. Meanwhile, I though a theory was right_The danger animal in the world ,which is female tiger in our home.

- From your description, your wife has the dignity so that your little son will do something at her command. As parents, being the first and best tutors, should be patient to guide kids and let them know they are not only just kids, instead, they are equal with their parents and should learn to be responsible for living well. Knowing this, your little son will understand at present studying is the priority. After all, he is a kid, so you should also arrange some time for him to play around for relaxation. But it is still hard, easier said than done, isn't it?
