Saucers and afternoon tea

Hot 1606 views. 2020-6-1 19:49 |Individual Classification:food

The westerners drank tea with cups. And they had no saucers.

The Dutch transported tea saucers from China, when sailing on the sea.

Then, the westerners began to drink tea with cups and saucers.

In David Copperfield, in his childhood, David would have tea with his mother and step father in their villa. In afternoon tea time, the servant would probably add much sugar to the tea. And they had cakes.

In Mongolia, people drink milk tea. People on the grassland live a mobile life, and they hardly have time to grow vegetables in a patch of land. They eat meat and drink milk all day long, and the tea would be their only source of vitamine. Sometimes they would trade the tea with merchants.

During our school celebration, our school sent tea in packages, to all the schoolmates. I placed the tea in my cupboard and I have not drank it yet. I also found a set of delicate china teacups.
