Taking care of my grandmother is sure to be both troublesome and interesting. My grandma has Alzheimer's disease, so she's unable to recognize people who could have been familiar. Today I asked her if she knew who I was. She said "yes", but she couldn't even call my nickname. She was only smiling with a adorkable look. When the housemaid was about to leave, she asked grandma to go to bed instead of resting in the cane chair. Grandma kept smiling, but didn't give a sign of moving.

After a while, she was asleep with the light on. She was never disturbed if only she had nothing to do but sleep. She breathed with her mouth open, and her chest was in waves with her breath. Slightly she snored. I had never seen anyone more serene than my grandma.

I am asked to take care of my grandma when grandpa has to be absent. Grandma is a pathetic woman, ever since she was mentally ill. My grandpa is the only one who shoulders most of the toil including the livelihood of his wife. Sometimes I blame myself for not being concerned enough with such hardship.
