"Do not miss your everyday happiness when you would waste your whole life to be an extraordinary man." That's what my friend told me, when I tried to satisfy my vanity but could not afford it.

Caging myself in the duty room gives me the chance to adjust my state of mind. My space is narrowed, but my freedom is surprisingly abundant. I have less choices of activities, but I don't have to rack my brains to be choosy. Every day I sit on the chair watching short videos, reading books or writing articles. Especially, when I write I no longer have extravagant hopes that my writings would be favored, but feel it enjoyable to kill time.

There are not too many people who are never ordinary. Casting away their gorgeous appearance, they are no different from you and me. There are a lot of people I envy, while I don't know how fortunate I am: I am fortunate to do the things I love, while not worrying about the livelihood which should have been provided by myself. Everyone lives an ordinary life, and it is neither too tragic nor comic.
