Lately I’ve been troubled by the mindset that there has to be a long-range project for the later of my life. This project may by a steady pace be accomplished in ten years when I am at the age of forty, but apparently easier thought than done.
More haste is less speed. When one tries to achieve something, he has to be patient. Few people in the world can realize tremendous advance in quite a short time. For ambitious people who have long-sighted goals, they should have the patience to endure the tardy progress they make every day which is tiny against their ideal success.
Sometimes it is of no avail to compare the destination with the current position. The advisable key to actual strength is not to restrict yourself by rigid plans, but to endeavor at your will. Forbid the tension caused by the plans and long-term goals, and make every effort casually and even on the spur of the moment. Then you will make progress unconsciously, and have more patience instead of anxiety.
